KPMG Faircall provides an independent, third party, whistleblowing service to some of Australia’s most reputable organisations within the private and public sectors. The business is looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills to work in this busy and growing practice. Full training and support will be provided.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work within a strong team that has significant experience managing whistleblowing disclosures and advising on whistleblowing matters.
  • Process whistleblower disclosures received by telephone, web and mail. Whistleblower disclosures may relate to various types of improper conduct, including fraud, corruption, bullying, sexual harassment, modern slavery and policy breaches.
  • Interview whistleblowers on the phone, obtain detailed information and provide updates as relevant
  • Regularly liaise with clients on a range of matters including onboarding, delivery of the service, IT Security requirements, and day to day issues
  • Perform administrative activities to comply with internal risk processes, billing, engagement contracting, record keeping and report delivery
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, KPMG staff and third parties.

Requirements

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a range of skills, experience and qualifications including:

  • Strong interpersonal skills – this role will require you to liaise with whistleblowers, clients and KPMG team members. You will need to be comfortable speaking to individuals at all levels of seniority and be able to communicate with them effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse information
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to allow you to communicate with a variety of audiences, including distilling down complex issues into key messages
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage your time across multiple matters concurrently
  • An ability to show compassion and empathy to disclosers whilst remaining at arm’s length. In this role you may occasionally encounter callers to the hotline who are in a distressed state
  • A team mentality and flexible can-do attitude towards assisting with other Forensic and/or Faircall activities as required
  • A university degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in whistleblowing or a related field such as investigations, law, HR or call centre operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
